Locanda del Re is an Indian restaurant and hotel in Feltre, Italy. Before the project there was no single place for the menu, the rooms and bookings: here is how the result came together.

I built the site starting from content and attention to detail: structure first, visuals second. I designed a clear hierarchy (about, menu, rooms, find us) and built everything mobile-first, because most restaurant searches start on a phone.

The decisions that mattered

  • A menu readable in ten seconds, with no PDF to download
  • Opening hours and address always visible, with an embedded map
  • A fixed call and booking button on mobile
  • WebP-optimised images: a light page even on weak 4G

The result

A fast, fully responsive site with clear calls to action that showcases the restaurant and makes it easy to find information or book a table. Images load instantly, the layout never jumps, and the path to a booking takes two taps.

The takeaway

A restaurant does not need a complicated website: it needs to answer fast for people who are hungry and for people looking for a room. Fewer elements, in the right place, convert better than any animation.
